August, 2016 – Waterslide Sound Effects Galore

Grangemouth Sports Centre, Falkirk

Intec Systems have just completed installing some waterslide features at Grangemouth Sports Complex; a music and gamepad system on one waterslide, and a timer racing system and spooky sound effects on the other slide.

Our sound effects and game are a great way of adding life and interest to an existing flume, without breaking the bank!
Please visit Falkirk Community Trust’s website here: http://www.falkirkcommunitytrust.org/venues/grangemouth-sports-complex/ and watch the videos below to see the systems being demonstrated.

June 2016 – Improved Bridge Safety for Laing O’Rourke

Explore Manufacturing, Worksop

Explore Manufacturing, a division of Laing O’Rourke, were concerned about the risk of bridge and overhead infrastructure strikes from their large lorry fleet – as a manufacturer of customised prefabricated buildings, their vehicle loads are often high, and, more importantly, of variable heights.
They approached Intec Systems, and we worked together to supply and install the full system, including civils and ducting.
The height detectors scan the vehicle as it drives through the sensors, and calculates the maximum point of the vehicle once it has detected that the vehicle is fully through the sensor.

The completed system not only displays the height to the drivers in imperial and metric units, but also prints 2 tickets – one for the driver, and one for the paperwork. It also generates an audit with date, time and height.

Mar 18, 2016 – New Sound and Light for the Infinity Spacebowl

Splashdown Water Park, Poole

A major overhaul of a popular signature ride at Splashdown, Poole, has just been completed. With a addition of a closed top and a complete repaint and refresh, the stage was set for our engineers to add 2 high power lasers, 12 speakers, and 4 RGB floodlights. The Spacebowl has morphed into Infinity!
Infinity’s combination of music and lighting will be the first of its kind in the UK. Designed by Intec Systems, Infinity will see riders slide into a disco, spinning right round to tracks from the music genre of their choice whilst observing a spectacular new lighting display inside the bowl!
See what the Wave 105 FM’s website has to say about it here: http://www.wave105.com/near-you/places-to-visit/top/splashdown/ and watch the video below to see the system in action!

Nov 09, 2015 – Waterslide Thunder and Lightning System

Splashdown Water Park, Poole

We have upgraded the Black Thunder ride at Splashdown with our new Thunder and Lightning sound and light system.
By using a large low voltage DMX controlled LED floodlight, and 4 marine grade speakers, the black hole style slide becomes an exciting tunnel of light and sound! We – and more importantly, so do our customers – believe that this is the loudest, brightest and best thunder and lightning system on the market today.

The waterslide was also fitted with our sensor based traffic light system, and a slide timer system, featuring speakers to provide a chorus of cheers and applause!
This fantastic new leisure centre was opened in May, by the Mayor of Kirklees, Clr Ken Smith.

The Royal Parks

The first quarter of the year has seen Intec Systems (UK) Ltd completing their largest project to date – the supply of 24 PaddleGates and eight CoinPay units to the Royal Parks, to be installed at parks across London.

This long planned project has enabled the Royal Parks to prevent closures and help fund the £1.5 million maintenance bill. The charge has been set at 20p.

Our PaddleGates were chosen for this very challenging and extremely busy environment due to their robust construction – unlike other pedestrian gates, they were designed to withstand the rigours of the public toilet environment – and comprehensive auditing facilities (cash and footfall information is uploaded to the internet via GSM modems).
